For the Aspiring Adventurers
In time, I hope you will realize that adventuring is so much more than simply having crazy or exciting experiences. Adventurousness is a state of mind and a way of life. It is the courage to face the fears that hold you back. It is a willingness to pursue the unknown, take risks, and be the best version of yourself. It is a desire to think in ways that are unconventional. Finally, it is the ability to dare to live a life that you have always wanted.
Get to Know Ace
Hey there. I’m Ace.
Once, I was someone who was too afraid to even socialize with others or venture outside the comfort of my home. One day, I left it all behind in my quest to be adventurous.
Some of my favorite adventures involve skydiving, scuba diving, climbing, driving (an assortment of vehicles), or simply traveling to interesting places. I’ve soared at tremendous altitudes, explored mysterious depths, scaled great heights, navigated secluded terrain, and have gotten into (and out of) way too much trouble. Apparently, I have the Devil’s Luck.
Since I used to be an introvert who only stayed inside to read, study, or play video games, it took an enormous amount of effort for me to become the person that I am today. That is one of the reasons why I started this site—to provide helpful advice, share my adventures, tell motivational stories, and, most importantly, encourage others like you to pursue their own adventures and create their own stories.
Furthermore, during my adventures, my mind wanders as often as I do, and I am able to share some very relevant, interesting, and often very unconventional thoughts about life.
Background
While in college, I pursued degrees in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I remained a private and reclusive person throughout college, still spending most of my time indoors to read, study, or play video games. After graduation, I joined the oil industry as a Field Engineer and flew to the United Arab Emirates where I explored, skydived, and acquired certifications to work with radiation and explosives. Over time, I ended up with multiple licenses/certifications, traveled all over the world, and things got completely out of control in the best way. Now, I climb towers while working as a Field Engineer in the telecommunications industry.
Many of my adventures are simply great experiences and stories from around the world—stories that I believe you will find funny, exciting, happy (maybe even sad), helpful, or even enlightening. At the very least, I believe they will be entertaining to you.
Before my grandfather passed away, he told me that the fear of death is, in some ways, a fear of life. To fear death is to fear life not lived, and we are most afraid to die if we never truly lived.
So I decided to embark on my own amazing and outrageous adventures, and I’ve held on to those words ever since.
Life is a collection of experiences and fleeting memories. Life is meant to be lived fully. Life is a story unique to every single person. Most importantly, life is meant to be an adventure. And I intend to make mine a great one.
Why not join me as a fellow adventurer as you write your own amazing stories? Let’s have a hell of a time.
